Abstract

This article deals with the problem of business processes adaptation to actual market conditions. The experimental research of them is slow and needs a lot of time and resources. One of the approaches is the Process Mining, which allows to get relevant statistic alindicators from information system event log, based on available information and analyze the process for compliance with relevant requirements. The purpose of the article is to describe the research event log and examine an example of model building of system processes. The main part: Business process mining (Process mining) is designed to extract useful information about the system processes by using the system event log. It is the starting point for further research and it records all events that happen in system. The Petri net can be built by using the event log. Nowadays, there are a many modern tools and techniques of Process mining. Most methods make assumptions that do not guarantee real progress. Some methods do not include noise and exceptional cases, other methods are limited to processes that have a certain structure. It is important that the selected method sand tools of process mining were selected by using data obtained from the system. The purpose of the process research is to find the properties of all possible routes, like using Petri nets or sequence of processes. The research is focused on the organizational aspect of performers, i. e. who performed specific actions and how they are related. The goal of research is to define roles or relationships between individual performers (i.e., to build asocial network). Conclusion: Process mining methods should be used when a formal description or model are missed or have low compliance to the real system behavior. Information systems event logs of organizations and enterprises can be used for model building. This allows us to expect that Process mining methods are perspective for research and practical applications for business process reengineering in acceleration and price reduction purposes.
